CREA Institute (August 2016 - August 2017)

Based on an internal and external audit, developed recommendations for an institution-wide approach to strategic communications for a global feminist human rights organization based in India that works globally to advance the rights of women and girls and the sexual and reproductive freedom of all people.

FRIDA - The Young Feminist Fund (May 2017 - July 2017)

Coordinated the planning and facilitation of a funder-activist dialogue on resourcing young feminist activism around the world.

Jessie Smith Noyes Foundation (June 2016 - March 2017)

Provided program and operational support to the Executive Director of a private foundation focused on social justice grantmaking to advance environmental justice, reproductive rights, sustainable agriculture and food systems, and cross-movement collaboration.

JASS Associates (November - December 2016)

Planned and facilitated a staff workshop on strategic communications.

Ford Foundation (June - October 2016)

Conducted a targeted landscape analysis of gender and reproductive justice organizing in the United States to support the Foundation's strategy development for grantmaking on Gender, Racial, and Ethnic Justice.

Supported planning, implementation, and documentation of the Feminist Resource Mobilization Hub at the 2016 AWID International Forum, Feminist Futures: Building Collective Power for Rights and Justice.

Heising-Simons Foundation (July - August 2016)

Advising on the development and growth of the Foundation's grantmaking in areas of emerging interest.

Groundswell Fund (May - August 2016)

Provided outreach and dissemination support for Groundswell's Rapid Response Fund for Reproductive Justice in the United States, with an emphasis on supporting grassroots work led by women of color.

Lineage Project (May - July 2016)

Planned and facilitated a participatory staff retreat for a small, growing non-profit that provides mindfulness programs, including yoga and meditation, to incarcerated and vulnerable young people in New York City. 

UN Women and International IDEA (2012)

Co-authored Democracy and Gender Equality: The Role of the UN, a discussion paper on the UN's role in promoting democracy, gender euality, and women's political participation based on a 2011 UN roundtable and a review of contemporary developments in policy and practice. The paper was co-published by the United Nations, UNDP, and UN Women in 2013.

EMpower – Emerging Markets Foundation (2008 & 2011)

Compiled and curated monitoring and evaluation strategies for Girls’ Voices, Girls’ Priorities: Participatory, Innovative Tools for Capturing Girls’ Realities and Understanding Changes in their Lives, a toolkit intended for use by local organizations working with girls worldwide; designed and implemented qualitative evaluations of NEED and Nishtha, two grassroots organizations working with adolescent girls and adult women in India.

Mama Cash (2011-13)

Coordinated the development of Mama Cash's 2013 annual plan; developed supporting materials for a 2012 convening on reframing violence for Mama Cash grantees and drafted Who Counts? An Inclusive Vision for Ending Gender-Based Violence; developed fundraising materials; prepared a summary report and facilitated staff workshops for the mid-term review of Mama Cash's 2009-13 strategic plan; drafted and edited text for Mama Cash's 2012 annual report.

European Foundation Center (2012)

Edited Funding for Inclusion: Women and Girls in the Equation, a GrantCraft guide on how to integrate a gender analysis into funding for human rights, co-published by Mama Cash and the European Foundation Center.

International Planned Parenthood Federation –
Western Hemisphere Region (2011-12)

Conducted research and drafted profiles on youth advocacy for sexual and reproductive health and rights in Guatemala; interviewed IPPF member associations in Mexico and Peru as part of an evaluation of IPPF/WHR's Joining Forces for Voice and Accountability advocacy initiative. 

The Population Council (2011-13)

Researched and wrote Health + Equality + School Engagement: Scenarios USA Reinvents Sex Education, a case study of Scenarios USA, an innovative sexuality education, life skills, and media program for U.S. high school students, published as part of the Population Council's Quality/Calidad/Qualité series; supported the Rethinking Sexuality Education program to develop a global network of experts on gender and sexuality education.

Sexuality and Development Programme, Institute of Development Studies (2008)

Authored the Sexuality and the Development Industry Workshop Report on a convening that brought together activists, academics, donors, and development practitioners to explore the linkages between sexuality and the international development industry.

Pathways of Women’s Empowerment Research Programme Consortium (2007-8)

Co-edited Unsafe Abortion: A Development Issue, IDS Bulletin, Vol. 39, #3, published by the Institute of Development Studies.

International Women’s Health Coalition (2007-8)

Researched and authored case study of the Association for the Struggle Against Violence Against Women (ALVF-EN), a Cameroonian feminist organization working to end forced marriage and promote girls’ rights in northern Cameroon. The case study, When Girls’ Lives Matter: Ending Forced and Early Marriage in Cameroon, was published as part of the Population Council’s Quality/Calidad/Qualité series.

Puntos de Encuentro (2006-8)

Authored Expectations and Realities: Nicaraguan Youth Navigate Gender, Sexuality, HIV, and More, a report based on analysis of data on Nicaraguan young people's knowledge, attitudes, practices, and beliefs about HIV and AIDS, gender, sexuality, family, community, and social change; developed fundraising and communications materials for the organization and consulted on the development of its English-language website.
